Gala “Homeland in Peace” 2026 at Nguyen Hue Walking Street: A Living History Journey in the Heart of Saigon

Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the People’s Public Security Forces Tradition (July 12, 1946 – July 12, 2026) – A meaningful chance for Gen Z to connect with Vietnam’s heroic history.

Yo everyone, I’m Mộng Thy – a young person who’s passionate about history and always seeks deep values from the past to apply in the present. When talking about Vietnam’s People’s Public Security Forces, I can’t help but feel emotional about their 80-year journey of “Living in the enemy’s heart while keeping the citadel firm.” To mark this important milestone, the “Homeland in Peace” Gala series is coming right to Nguyen Hue Walking Street – the heart of Saigon – offering us a wonderful opportunity to show gratitude and take pride in the silent soldiers who have protected the peace of our nation.

What’s Special About Participating in the Gala?

The most unique thing is that you don’t just watch – you truly "touch history". The “Journey of Peace” interactive experience zone uses modern technologies like VR, 3D mapping, holograms, and AI interactive games, allowing Gen Z like me to “live” inside the heroic historical pages. You can interact with exhibits, try cybersecurity challenges, explore digital immigration transformation, and learn about law through engaging storytelling. It’s the most modern, attractive, and memorable way to learn history – both educational and entertaining.

The Art Gala Night “Living in the Enemy’s Heart and Keeping the Citadel Firm”

This is the highlight of the event, recreating the 80-year journey through modern art language combined with cutting-edge technology. The program unfolds heroic historical pages across three main parts (“Flow of Peace”, “Shield of Peace”, “Epic of Peace”), delivering strong emotions and national pride.

Nguyen Hue Street Food – Perfect Combo with the Gala

Coming to Nguyen Hue for the Gala without exploring the food scene would be a big miss! This walking street is a vibrant food paradise with everything from traditional to modern snacks. Try spicy **banh trang tron and banh trang nuong**, refreshing **ice cream, bingsu, and smoothies**, or regional specialties like banh bo thot not, bun mam, and Hue che. Nearby you’ll also find KOI Thé, Gong Cha, beautiful-view cafes, and many affordable restaurants. Student-friendly prices make it the perfect combo – enjoy the gala while strolling and eating great food.
