I Just “Checked In” Quang Ninh and Can’t Stop Being Amazed

A young girl’s personal journey discovering a heritage land that is transforming day by day.

Hi everyone, it’s Mộng Thy here. It’s been a while since I sat down to write such a heartfelt sharing like this. Recently, I read an article on VnExpress about the major projects that are changing the face of Quang Ninh, and I immediately felt the urge to pack my backpack and hit the road. And I have zero regrets! Today, I want to tell you about my personal journey in Quang Ninh – where heritage meets modernity in the most perfect way.

First Impressions Upon Arriving in Quang Ninh

I still clearly remember the moment the car crossed Bai Chay Bridge. The majestic bridge with its 435m main span stretches across Cua Luc Bay, its lights sparkling and reflecting on the water. At that moment, I thought: “Wow, Quang Ninh is no longer just Ha Long Bay anymore.” From a traditional coal mining land, it has become a modern destination with numerous large-scale projects. I felt so proud and excited!

The Projects That Made Me “Wow” the Most

What impressed me the most was Tran Quoc Nghien Seaside Boulevard, nearly 5km long. I spent the whole afternoon walking along this road, admiring Ha Long Bay while taking photos. The fresh air and “million-like” views are perfect for Gen Z like me to live in the moment.

Besides that, the Ha Long – Van Don – Mong Cai Expressway makes travel super fast, taking only about 3 hours from Hanoi. The modern Van Don International Airport and international passenger ports are also very convenient, making my trip much easier.

I also visited the “Dolphin Palace” Planning Center and Quang Ninh Museum. The beautiful, modern architecture allowed me to learn about history while clearly seeing the development ambitions of this land.

Personal Experiences – My Favorite Moments

Besides the modern scenery, I still made time to explore the traditional beauty:

  • Cruising on Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay at sunrise – a peaceful moment that made me reflect a lot about life.

  • Kayaking and swimming at Tuan Chau and Co To – a feeling of freedom that washes away all work stress.

  • Climbing Yen Tu to find spiritual peace amid the busy daily grind.

  • Enjoying fresh seafood and joining the vibrant atmosphere of Ha Long Carnival.

I believe that for young people looking for a trip that is both relaxing and inspiring, Quang Ninh is an unmissable choice.

Small Tips from My Own Experience

If you’re planning a trip, I recommend going in summer or autumn. Combine modern tourism (checking in at the bridge and seaside boulevard) with natural experiences (bays and islands). Most importantly, keep the environment clean and protect nature so Quang Ninh stays beautiful forever. And remember to bring a fully charged camera or phone because the views here are truly stunning!

Through this trip, I realized that travel is not just about resting, but also a way for us to connect with our homeland, with ourselves, and with the positive changes happening around us.

Let’s think together: Have you ever been to Quang Ninh? What was your favorite experience? Please share in the comments below so I can read and get inspiration for future trips!
